Run a no-vig check in three steps
1 Choose the market size
Use 2-way for markets with two possible outcomes. Use 3-way for soccer-style home, draw, and away prices.
2 Enter the listed odds
Add the sportsbook prices in American or decimal format. The same format should be used for every active outcome.
3 Compare the fair line
Review the market margin, fair probabilities, fair American odds, and fair decimal odds before drawing any conclusion from the price.
How the calculator removes vig
1 Convert odds to implied probability
Each listed price becomes a probability. For American odds, negative prices use risk divided by risk plus 100; positive prices use 100 divided by price plus 100.
2 Measure the market total
A priced market usually totals more than 100%. The amount above 100% is the overround, often called vig or juice.
3 Normalize to fair probability
The calculator divides each implied probability by the market total. That removes the margin and converts the market back to 100%.
What no-vig odds are useful for
1 Understanding the house margin
A listed market can look close while still carrying hidden margin. The overround shows how much the implied probabilities exceed 100%.
2 Comparing market prices
Removing vig gives you a cleaner reference point for comparing one line against another, especially when two books price the same market differently.
3 Checking 3-way markets
Draw outcomes make soccer and other 3-way markets harder to read. Normalizing all three outcomes keeps the comparison on one 100% probability scale.
No-vig calculator questions
1 What does a no-vig calculator do?
A no-vig calculator converts listed odds into implied probabilities, removes the sportsbook margin by normalizing the market to 100%, and returns fair probabilities and fair odds.
2 Can this calculator handle 3-way markets?
Yes. The calculator supports both 2-way markets and 3-way markets such as soccer home-draw-away lines.
3 Is this no-vig calculator free?
Yes. The calculator runs in the browser and is free to use for educational odds comparison.
4 What is a 3-way no-vig calculation?
A 3-way no-vig calculation removes the margin from three listed outcomes at once, such as home win, draw, and away win. Each implied probability is divided by the total market probability so the fair probabilities add back to 100%.
